Terms of Sale and Booking
Last updated: 22 September 2026
These terms apply both to overnight stay, sauna and event bookings and to orders of shiitake products in the online shop. By submitting a booking enquiry or an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
Seller
The service provider and seller of goods is [TO CONFIRM: the company's registered legal name and registration number], operating under the name "Garīkas", address "Garīkas", Rudbāržu parish, Kuldīga municipality, LV-3325 · phone +371 29147778 · email info@garikas.lv.
Booking process
A booking enquiry (for an overnight stay, sauna, shiitake tour or event) submitted through the website is a request for an offer, not an automatically confirmed booking. We will contact you within one working day to confirm availability and agree on final terms.
A booking is considered confirmed only after our written confirmation (by email or text message).
[TO CONFIRM: whether confirming a booking requires an advance payment or deposit, and what amount/percentage it is].
[TO CONFIRM: cancellation and change terms – e.g. how many days before arrival a booking can be cancelled free of charge, and what happens to the advance payment if cancellation occurs later].
Online shop orders
Prices of goods in the online shop are stated in euros (EUR). [TO CONFIRM: whether prices include VAT, and whether the company is registered as a VAT payer].
An order is considered submitted once you have completed and sent the order form. We confirm receipt of the order by email and contact you regarding further payment and delivery arrangements.
If any of the ordered items are unavailable, we will inform you of this and offer an alternative or a refund.
Payment
Overnight stay, sauna and event services can be paid for on site or by bank transfer – we will confirm the arrangement when confirming the booking.
Online shop orders are paid by bank transfer against an invoice. The invoice (PDF) is sent to the buyer’s e-mail straight after the order – in the buyer’s name for individuals, with company details for legal entities. The payment term is 7 days; we prepare and send the order once payment is received.
Online payments by card or online banking are not available at the moment. Once a payment service provider is connected, this section must be updated.
Delivery
We deliver online shop orders via Omniva parcel locker (€3.90, usually within 1–3 working days of receiving payment), or you can collect them free of charge at "Garīkas" by prior arrangement of a time.
We do not ship fresh shiitake mushrooms to a parcel locker – their collection is always arranged individually, as availability depends on the harvest.
Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, a consumer has the right to withdraw from goods ordered in the online shop within 14 days of the day the goods are received, provided the goods have not been used and the packaging is not damaged.
For food products (dried mushrooms, powder, capsules, fresh mushrooms) with opened or damaged packaging, the right of withdrawal does not apply for hygiene reasons.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, write to info@garikas.lv, stating the order number. The cost of return delivery is borne by the buyer, unless legislation provides otherwise.
For bookings (overnight stays, sauna, tours, events), the right of withdrawal is applied in accordance with the "Booking process" section of these terms and the individually agreed cancellation terms, rather than the 14-day online shop procedure – accommodation and other leisure-related services with a specified performance date are excluded from the general distance-contract right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Protection Law.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with the service or goods received, please first contact us by email at info@garikas.lv – we will try to find a direct solution.
If an agreement cannot be reached, the consumer has the right to contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (www.ptac.gov.lv) or the courts.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, including the Consumer Rights Protection Law and the related Cabinet of Ministers regulations on distance contracts.
